Ego

Are we constantly creating our memories, ourselves, moment by moment? If so, being in the now, the present, means stopping that activity right? Allowing it to fade is a more accurate way to characterize it. If it is constant effort to create yourself and you stop doing it, entropy takes over. Except that what starts to rust is not you. It is your concept of you; your illusion. It is this…your illusion of you…that is holding you in the past, preventing you from realizing who you are.
